In Loving Memory of Angela Brinkley
Angela Brinkley was a devoted mother to three boys and one girl, with all of her children’s names beginning with "A," reflecting her own beautiful name.
As the oldest of three sisters, Angela grew up in North Carolina. She completed her associate degree and began teaching at the local church, sharing her love for learning with others. Family was everything to her; she always checked in on her sisters and parents, ensuring they felt supported and loved.
Her journey brought her to California, where she met me. We married just three months after we started dating, right before my first Navy ship deployment. A beautiful blessing came when, just prior to my departure, she became pregnant with our first son. I was fortunate enough to request permission from my captain to return home for the birth, arriving just in time for our son's arrival. Angela went on to bring our daughter and later our two sons into the world.
Tragedy struck two months after the birth of our fourth child when Angela was diagnosed with Metastatic Adenocarcinoma.
Important Aspects of Angela:
-
She was a friendly and compassionate person, always ready to help others.
-
Angela loved writing about her daily experiences and sharing those journeys.
-
She enjoyed creating lesson plans and demonstrations to teach her children, nurturing their curiosity and growth.
-
Throughout her life, she never spoke ill of anyone, even if others criticized her.
-
In her final days, she urged me to ensure that our children were cared for and guided them toward independence.
Angela gifted me with four wonderful children, each carving their own path in life. What I miss most about her is her uplifting strength and her loving nature toward everyone; a true angel in our lives.
